It was tough time for last two weeks. I was trying to manage the subjects for my exams. Yea sure I blogged long time back don’t know why but still I’m trying to find interesting topics to blog. I just don’t want put some tips in my blog as it’s available with lot of development websites like DevX, Codeproject, Codeguru, MSDN etc.
I started from Trivandrum on 31st noon to write my B.S exams at Bangalore. I was suspended my studies as I stayed in Japan for long time. Now I resume with 3rd semester of course. The travel was fine and enjoyable with my colleagues and other friends. Actually most of us has planned to have studies and discussion the exam topics during the travel. That’s one of the reason to choose train to bus.
Nothing Happned till 8 AM other than the usual funny talks and stuffs.and we had coffee and snacks frequently. By 9 AM we have received the dinner ordered and had it as we’re seeing it for the first time.
Few minutes after dinner most of the people laid themselves down at their berth. We fell into sleep after few minutes because of the heavy and unbearable fun we had for last few hours.
The train reached at Bangalore at 6.30 AM on Friday Morning. We stepped down at Cantonment station. As usual the Auto Rikshaw drivers started trying to their customer. The fact is that they will be saying some amount most of the time, it will double or triple of the actual amount. So we used to get catch pre-paid auto where we get a slip with the actual amount has to be paid to the hiring Auto.
We used to stay at Hotel imperial for exam trip. The hotel is cheap and also not really neat. We had the breakfast from the coffee shop next to the hotel. I closed myself inside the hotel room and studied till the evening. By 6 PM I get down from hotel to do some shopping. And also eager to see the beautiful girls from Bangalore.
I directly went to take some money from ATM counter and rushed to Gangaram Book Bureau at MG Road. unfortunately the shop was closed because of solar eclipse. Then I came back to Higgin Bothms book center to check some new titles.
I was pretty interested to get Scott Berkun Authored “Making things Happen” but sadly they hadn’t the copy of the same. One of my friend accompanied me suggested buying Eric Segal’s “The Class” and “Doctors”. I was interested with “The class” and “The art of War” brought it. I also saw some books on Barrack Obama and it was surprise to know that there are lot of titles on the latest sensational U.S presidential candidate.
Few weeks back few of my friends from U.S said that, Obama is not a person or presidential candidate but he’s a feeling which is waving across U.S. Soon I stopped my shopping as the shop keeper declined to give me discounts on the books. Normally we used to get 10% discounts at least. He said “you will get that discount if you choose a computer/software related books” as the book dealers considering the whole books as a bull shit.
I had my dinner from Hotel Oasis with my ex-classmates and other friend. On the way back to Hotel I saw some end of season sale at Louis philippe show room. brought a trouser and shirt in no time as they were going to close the shop.
The Probability and Statistics Exams and Graphs & Networks exams went fine. I was much confident with the subject “Management Optimization” on the next day. Sunday, it was the greatest disaster as I failed to answer the questions of Optimization. I was not really good at managing the time at exam hall. I was pretty happy with the Digital Electronics examinations.
BTW, on Saturday I again went to Gangaram to buy few more books. I asked the guy whether he has the copy of Berkun’s latest title. He said he will order for it if I make an advance payment. The Book costs around 36$ which is pretty costly in India. I give up the idea and was ready to satisfy my needs with “The Art of Project Management”. I also brought Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows as gift to my friend.. The shopping came to an end there.
After the exams, by Sunday evening I started back to Trivandrum. On Monday we’ve reached back at TVM and back to work….
hmmm… That’s what happened in the last weekend for which I spent my days for last couple of weeks.
