Thrissur Pooram 2008

Tomorrow 16-Apr-2008 is special day for all people at Thrissur irrelevant to their religion or anything. It’s Thrissur Pooram tomorrow. It’s a a celebration, cultural event and moreover competition among Paramekavu and Thiruvambadi temples. It’s held at in front of Vadakkumnathan temple. After 2 years of Gap I’d like to see Thrissur Pooram but I am not in a position to get enough leave to enjoy the best visuals and thrills in the world.

The pooram is not only limited to Thrissur but it get enjoyed by all people over kerala and worldwide. Thousands of people are coming to Thrissur Swaraj Round on the pooram day. The city will be filled with the pooram enthusiasts all day and night. It’s not a celebration but a feeling of every people out here. Can’t say using word. But I suggest my dear readers in your life time, you should enjoy it at least once.

The pooram starts up with Kodiyettam (startup event at each temples) and temples shows up their power in fireworks with ample Fireworks event held 3 days before main event. Anyway I am not explaining more about it in this post because the events are detailed in Wikipedia itself.

I’ve got some interesting photos and videos to share with you. Yes I managed to attend this years’ sample fireworks of Thrissur Pooram event.
